Qualifications

Sea Ray/BIMC - Quality Control Technician

Quality Control Technician tasks performed may include supporting Lamination, Fabrication, Assembly or Water Test. (1 day shift and 1 for 2nd shift)

Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Completion of Internal Auditor Course
  • Computer Knowledge
  • Strong Written, Verbal and Communication Skills
  • Ability to work daily with others in a team environment
  • Knowledge of area and job tasks
  • Ability to Train
  • PACE / ISO participation a plus
  • Proven Leadership Qualities, including positive attitude, good attendance and promotion of good morale.
  • Ability to read and understand Production Schedule
  • Ability to read and understand prints
  • Ability to Audit departmental work areas
  • Strong Record Keeping Abilities
  • Ability to Multi-Task
  • Working knowledge of Procedures, instructions, and documents as it relates to the quality system
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
  • Ability to identify Short Stocks and report them
  • Ability to get department inspection and buy-offs
  • Supply computer information as needed
  • Overall Floor Knowledge
  • Understanding of Special Instructions
  • Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting
  • Working knowledge of 3 or more areas
  • Electrical, Mechanical and Water Test systems strongly preferred.
  • This position will work predominately at water test.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • High School Education or GED equivalent
  • Hand Tool Knowledge
  • Work Experience in Field

Safety Requirements:
  • Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately
  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators etc.
  • Must be able to understand and complete the OSHA questionnaire, pass spirometer test and physically wear a respirator where required
  • Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, spending standing, etc. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to understand all safety related document and worksite rules and practices, equipment operating instructions, documented safety management systems, and health and safety requirements, including the General Safety Rules and Individual Safety Commitment.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $21.70 to $25.95, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
