Job summary

Clark Southeast Michigan is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to help coordinate daily field operations, keep projects on schedule, and ensure safety and quality. This role provides hands-on support to the Superintendent and offers opportunities to develop short-term planning, scheduling oversight, and coordination with trade partners across Detroit, Ann Arbor, Troy, Novi, Monroe and surrounding areas.

The position supports projects throughout Southeast Michigan and seeks candidates living in

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Superintendent or similar field role

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating short-term (2-4 week) jobsite activities and communicate plans with trade contractors
• Support development and maintenance of the project schedule, including three-week lookahead planning
• Monitor and support contractor performance to ensure alignment with project timelines and requirements
• Help facilitate timely approvals and documentation with architects, engineers, and governing authorities
• Uphold jobsite safety, quality, environmental standards, and cleanliness at all times
• Assist with project close-out and ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards
• Maintain detailed daily reports documenting site activity, progress, and key events
• Track labor hours and submit trade hours and labor reports as required
• Participate in and help lead onsite coordination and progress meetings
