Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking engineers to design and deliver a scalable, high-throughput network control plane for a global telecom service spanning space and terrestrial networks. You will implement RF beam planning and SDN technologies, and build highly available software for network operations.

The role emphasizes designing modern architectures, automating software development processes, and delivering operational excellence for the control plane.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 3+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for designing and delivering a modern, flexible, scalable, high throughput, low latency network architecture
• Implement RF beam and optical link planning among other SDN technologies to deliver the best-in-class broadband network services for our customers
• Implement highly-available software that will drive networking control plane operation on physical and virtual nodes
• Define and automate processes used for software development, implementation, testing, and maintenance
• Provide operational excellence for control plane services, including enabling tools and definition/refinement of operational processes
