Job summary

Veridos GmbH in San Diego, CA seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and expand its SDK & Demo App ecosystem across multi-device networks. You will embed image processing, calibration algorithms, and data capture libraries (OCR & Barcode) to optimize hardware performance and production.

The role covers core SDK/API delivery for B2B client integration and internal engineering apps for device testing and factory calibration; strong C++, C#/.NET, and OpenCV experience is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Image Processing, or a related technical discipline.
3–5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on C++, C#/ .NET.
Experience with OpenCV or similar computer vision libraries and image processing workflows.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain the core SDK framework and demo apps for external B2B clients and internal tools.
Develop and optimize low-latency image pre-processing pipelines (enhancement, auto-cropping, ROI extraction).
Integrate OCR and barcode decoders into the SDK framework.
Collaborate with firmware engineers to define device-level communication protocols and debugging hardware interfaces (USB, Serial, PC/SC).
