Job summary

Supabase is a Postgres development platform offering a complete backend solution. This role owns how developers talk to Supabase from Python, spanning the Python SDK across database, auth, storage, realtime and functions with both sync and async APIs.

The Python SDK owner will design and evolve a typing-friendly experience, review issues, triage contributions, and maintain CI/release automation while ensuring compatibility across Python versions, notebooks, and serverless environments.

Qualifications

• Strong modern Python typing skills, including generics, protocols, overloads and TypedDict.
• Experience authoring or maintaining a public library with a public API and external users.
• Proficiency in asyncio and supporting both sync and async usage patterns.
• Experience with Python packaging, pyproject.toml, wheels and dependency management.
• Ability to triage issues, review external PRs, manage changelogs, and perform release automation.
