Job summary

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) II to join its Logistics team at the Mendon, Utah site.

You will design, implement and maintain automated tests and grow test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with developers and test engineers to ensure safe, reliable autonomous yard trucks. You will own testing workstreams from requirements through defect reporting, work across lab, vehicle and field environments, and help improve test coverage

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in software development or software testing with a focus on test automation.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Pytest, JUnit or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and version control with Git.

Responsibilities

• Own testing workstreams from requirements review through execution and defect reporting.
• Investigate, reproduce and document defects, and work with developers to resolve them.
• Run and own regression test cycles across platforms and environments.

• Monitor network use, resource consumption and performance metrics, and flag anything unusual.
• Execute tests in lab, vehicle and field test environments.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define test plans and improve test coverage.

ASI is expanding its teams to support its current ramp-up across development work, customer projects, and product deployments. This is a full-time W-2 contract position. The selected candidate will interview with ASI and work as an integrated member of the ASI team. W-2 employment, payroll, and benefits will be administered through one of ASI's staffing partners. Development phases of this nature typically span up to project completion (typically 2-4 years), though scope and duration are driven by business needs.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) II on ASI's Logistics team, you will build and run the automated tests that keep our autonomous yard trucks safe and reliable as they move trailers through busy distribution yards. You will own testing workstreams from requirements review through defect reporting, grow our test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, and work side by side with developers and test engineers in the lab, on the vehicle and in the field.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 2 to 4 years of experience in software development or software testing with a focus on test automation
• Proficiency in Python, C# or Java
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Pytest, JUnit or similar
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and version control with Git
• Strong analytical and debugging skills across complex systems

This position is on site at our Mendon, Utah office.
