LiveView Technologies in American Fork, Utah, is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET I) to join the Software Quality team. You will contribute to automated frameworks, execute advanced test strategies, and help ensure the reliability of our AI-driven site technology.

This role sits in-office at our Utah headquarters, collaborating with a world-class engineering team to scale testing across our platform while embracing rapid growth and evolving requirements.

Qualifications

• Technical Foundation: 1–3 years of coding, test planning, and debugging in a software environment.
• Automation Expertise: hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, or Pytest.
• Language Proficiency: Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Lifecycle Knowledge: CI/CD and GitHub Actions integration.
• Analytical Mindset: proactive problem-solving beyond bug hunting.
• Growth-Oriented: eager to learn new technologies in AI/IoT space.
• Communication: ability to convey risks to engineers and stakeholders.
• Bonus Points: AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, Appium, or hardware-software testing.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET I), you will join our Software Quality team to ensure the elite performance and reliability of LVT’s intelligent site technology. You will sit at the intersection of development and quality, contributing to automated frameworks and executing sophisticated test strategies that challenge our systems’ limits. This is an opportunity for a high-potential engineer to influence the stability of a rapidly scaling AI platform while working alongside a world‑class engineering team.

This role is based in‑office out of our Headquarters in American Fork, Utah.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and scale automated test frameworks to ensure high‑velocity software delivery without compromising quality.

• Develop and execute comprehensive automated and manual test cases that validate complex system behaviors across our platform.

• Collaborate deeply with developers and product managers to identify critical test requirements and edge‑case scenarios early in the lifecycle.

• Rigorous identification, documentation, and tracking of defects, working cross‑functionally to drive rapid resolutions.

• Uphold and advocate for test automation best practices, methodologies, and modern tooling within the engineering org.

• Analyze complex test results and troubleshoot failures to provide actionable insights for continuous architectural improvement.

• Proactively monitor emerging testing technologies to enhance our coverage of hardware‑software integrations.

• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a high‑growth environment, ensuring quality remains a competitive advantage.

• Automation Expertise: Hands‑on experience with modern test frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Pytest.

• Lifecycle Knowledge: Proven experience navigating rapid development and release cycles (CI/CD) and integrating tests into GitHub Actions.

• Bonus Points: Experience with AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, Appium for mobile testing, or testing integrated hardware/software systems.
