Job summary

Ekloud Data Labs seeks a Senior SDET to lead digital assurance strategies, architect automation frameworks, and hands-on test web, API, and DB platforms in the healthcare domain.

You will analyze requirements, identify edge-case defects, and ensure a flawless user experience through end-to-end UI automation using Cypress, while aligning QA activities with Agile and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in deep functional testing and automation framework design.
• Hands-on testing of web and API platforms; healthcare domain knowledge is a plus.

• Strong SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Familiar with Cypress for web automation.

Responsibilities

• Requirement Analysis & Risk Identification: analyze requirements, identify gaps, assess complexity, and track dependencies.
• Hands-On Functional & Integration Testing: perform exploratory, functional, and regression tests for UI, API, and DB integration.
• API & Database Validation: verify REST APIs, auth, payloads, status codes, and data integrity via SQL.
• Web Automation: design, build, and maintain Cypress-based end-to-end automation suites.
• Agile & JIRA Workflow Management: work within Agile teams; manage stories and bugs in JIRA.
• Release Readiness: contribute to pre-release and release activities to ensure quality.
• Digital Assurance & CI/CD: embed automated tests into DevOps pipelines and explore AI/LLM tools to accelerate testing cycles.

Job description

We are looking for a highly capable Senior SDET who is just as comfortable executing deep functional testing as they are architecting automation frameworks. In this role, you will lead our digital assurance strategies while getting your hands dirty in the trenchesactively analyzing requirements, testing web and API platforms, finding edge-case defects, and ensuring a flawless user experience tailored to the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Analysis & Risk Identification: Deeply read and interpret requirements, perform gap analysis, ask clarifying questions, assess complexity, and track dependencies. Proactively identify project risks and define positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios.
• Hands-On Functional & Integration Testing: Actively perform exploratory, functional, and regression testing. Specialize in end-to-end UI, API, and DB integration testing to identify defects before they reach production.
• API & Database Validation: Validate RESTful APIs (including strict checks on authorization and authentication, payloads, and status codes) and leverage your strong understanding of SQL Databases to ensure data integrity across the platform.
• Web Automation: Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end UI automation frameworks from scratch using Cypress.
• Agile & JIRA Workflow Management: Embed deeply into Agile processes. Manage QA workflows in JIRA by reading story details, utilizing comments/attachments, linking stories/bugs/tasks, and managing sprint boards.
• Release Readiness: Lead and participate in crucial Pre-Release and Release Readiness activities to ensure high-quality deployments.
• Digital Assurance & CI/CD: Own the end-to-end digital quality of the product. Embed automated test suites into DevOps pipelines to enable continuous testing, while exploring AI/LLM tools to accelerate testing cycles.R
