Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test Contractor to help ensure quality of PlayStation peripherals and firmware. You will develop automated tests for embedded firmware and platform integration, and own test coverage for key features.

You will work hands-on with PlayStation 5, PlayStation Portal, and Windows, collaborating with QA, Development, and Product teams to improve reliability and performance across devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with embedded firmware testing and hardware/software integration.
• Strong Python scripting and automation tooling knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests in C for embedded firmware and Python for platform integration.
• Own automation suites for features with reliable coverage.
• Support and enhance automation frameworks across hardware and platform testing.
• Perform firmware integration testing on PlayStation® 5, PlayStation® Portal, and Windows.
• Monitor test infrastructure, troubleshoot automation failures, improve performance.
• Analyze test data to identify flaky or slow tests.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with QA, Development, and Product teams to align test coverage.
