Sequoia Connect LLC is seeking an experienced SDET to lead end-to-end automation efforts using Cypress and TypeScript. You will design test strategies, mentor peers, and build robust frameworks with JMeter, Postman, and Jest. This role emphasizes API, performance, and load testing, in a fully remote US-based setup.

You will collaborate across engineering and product teams, promote QA best practices, and act as a testing SME to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of experience in SDET or automation roles.
• Advanced Cypress and TypeScript expertise for end-to-end automation.
• Experience with JMeter, Jest, Postman, and SQL/database testing.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and modern tooling.
• Experience executing API, performance, and load tests.
• Familiarity with Git for source control.
• Exposure to AWS CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Mentor and guide mid-level and junior QA engineers to foster technical growth.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress, JMeter, and Postman.
• Conduct code reviews and provide actionable feedback on testability and overall code quality.
• Analyze test results to provide data-driven recommendations for system improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Drive the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement within QA processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert in software testing and quality assurance methodologies.

Requirements:

• 4 to 8 years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Automation roles.
• Advanced expertise in Cypress and TypeScript for end-to-end automation.
• Proficiency in JMeter, Jest, Postman, and SQL/Database testing.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and modern testing tools.
• Expertise in executing complex test cases for API, Performance, and Load testing.
• Familiarity with Git for source and version control.
• Familiarity with AWS CI/CD pipelines and standard DevOps practices.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
