Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to drive automated testing across web and mobile applications. You will architect and maintain end-to-end test frameworks, mentor testers, and collaborate with developers to ensure release quality within an Agile/CD pipeline.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in software testing with REST API and UI automation, familiarity with Jira/Rally, and experience with frameworks like Karate/JMeter/Postman. Remote work available in the US.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of software test experience with test automation.
• Experience testing applications that integrate with other systems via RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of test management tools (qTest, ALM, TFS, Rally, Jira).
• Experience with API testing frameworks (Karate, Gatling, JMeter, Postman).
• Experience with load and performance testing; cloud platforms knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and mentors Software Test Engineers in automated testing efforts.
• Leads development of test strategies, plans, and architectures.
• Reviews test plans and requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluates new tools to enhance the automation framework.
• Develops and maintains test automation for applications and services.
• Builds end-to-end automation across web/mobile platforms and APIs.
• Applies metrics to defects and testing coverage; reports findings.
