Job summary

700Credit is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team at our Southfield, MI headquarters. You will ensure quality across customer applications, APIs, and cloud-based services, championing test automation as we move to a cloud-native environment.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern test frameworks, API/UI testing, and DevOps pipelines. Familiarity with Azure cloud, microservices, and test automation tools is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years hands-on software testing experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript/C# (JS preferred).
• Experience with UI test automation tools (Playwright preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communicating and team collaboration.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman or similar.
• Understanding of test planning, execution, and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Test planning with Product Owners and development team.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and execute API tests to ensure service integrity.
• Design test data strategies and regression suites.
• Collaborate on unit testing and testability improvements.
• Report defects with clear steps to reproduce.
• Participate in code reviews for test and production code.
