Job summary

Artifintech in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Senior iOS Test Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated tests using Swift, XCTest, and XCUITest. You will ensure robust nightly runs and drive quality across mobile apps.

You will collaborate with Engineering and QA teams, coordinate with offshore teams, and communicate requirements and risks clearly to stakeholders. The role requires onsite presence in Cupertino five days a week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Swift programming experience.
• 5+ years automating tests with XCTest/XCUITest.
• Strong experience with Xcode and iOS testing ecosystem.
• Experience triaging, debugging, and monitoring automated tests.
• Proficiency with Git and source control.
• Ability to translate client requirements into actionable tasks for offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new automated tests and enhance automation frameworks and tooling using Swift, XCTest, and XCUITest.
• Triage nightly automation results, validate failures, collect logs, identify root causes, and create clear, actionable bug reports.
• Perform manual testing when required and identify opportunities to automate test scenarios.
• Work closely with Engineering and QA teams to build, maintain, and improve automated test suites.
• Identify, document, and help close test coverage and automation gaps.
• Coordinate closely with the Offshore Lead/PM to ensure smooth execution, communication, and delivery between onsite and offshore teams.
• Participate in morning and/or evening calls with offshore teams as required.
• Engage with client stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements.
• Document scope of work and translate client requirements into clear technical and functional requirements for offshore teams.
• Act as a bridge between the customer and offshore teams to resolve technical, functional, and communication gaps.
• Track project progress against planned versus actual deliverables and proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and issues.
• Write clear and concise bug reports that enable developers to quickly understand the issue, impact, and steps to reproduce.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on Swift programming experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing automated tests using XCTest/XCUITest.
• Strong hands-on experience with Xcode and the iOS testing ecosystem.
• Strong experience developing, maintaining, and debugging UI automation.
• Experience triaging, debugging, and monitoring automated/nightly test executions.
• Strong experience with source control tools such as Git.
• Experience working directly with clients to understand business and functional requirements.
• Ability to translate client requirements into actionable tasks for offshore engineering/QA teams.
• Proven experience working in an onsite-offshore or globally distributed delivery model.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple time zones and participate in morning/evening calls when required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ownership, coordination, and collaboration skills.
• Must be comfortable working onsite in Cupertino, CA, 5 days per week.
