Job summary

Amazon's Annapurna Labs is seeking an SDE to drive pre-silicon hardware/software co-design for our machine learning acceleration chips. You will collaborate with architecture, design and emulation teams to implement new silicon functionality and write bare-metal software to verify end-to-end SoC performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience identifying bugs in architecture, algorithms, functionality, and performance with strong debugging skills.
• Experience verifying at multiple logic levels from IP blocks to SoCs to full system testing.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering.
• Experience with ARM and various DSP ISAs and RF/wireless standards is a plus.

As an SDE in the pre‑silicon team, you will drive pre‑silicon hardware/software co‑development for our machine learning chips. You will work with architecture, design and emulation teams to build new silicon functionality, and write bare‑metal software to verify end‑to‑end SoC functionality and subsystem performance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Experience identifying bugs in architecture, algorithms, functionality, and performance with strong debugging skills
• Experience verifying at multiple logic levels from IP blocks to SoCs to full system testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical, Communications Engineering or a related field
• Experience with formal verification techniques, including abstraction and end‑to‑end checking
• Experience with ARM and various DSP ISAs
• Experience with current and upcoming RF standards in cellular (4G/5G NR), WiMAX, 802.11ad, microwave backhaul, or related broadband wireless standards
• Experience with industry standard tools and scripting languages (Python or Perl) for automation

Base salary range: $157,300 – $212,800 USD annually.
