Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior SDE in the pre-silicon team to drive the pre-silicon hardware/software co-development for our next generation AI chips in Austin, TX. You will work with architecture, design and emulation teams to build and test SoC functionality, writing bare-metal software and ML workloads to verify end-to-end performance.

If you have embedded software, system development, or chip design experience, this is a hands-on opportunity to shape AWS AI hardware.

As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Custom machine learning chips are at the heart of our Trainium machine learning instances, and we invite you to build them with us! As a senior SDE in the pre-silicon team, you will be responsible for driving the pre-silicon hardware/software co-development for our machine learning chips. You will work with architecture, design and emulation teams to build and test our next generation AI chips. You will write bare-metal software and ML workloads to verify the end-to-end functionality and performance of the SoC. Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience in RTL coding and debug, as well as performance, power, area analysis and trade-offs
• Experience with modern ASIC/FPGA design and verification tools
• Experience with SOC bring-up and post-silicon validation

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
