Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the AWS Builder Acceleration organization to simplify and accelerate the software development experience at AWS scale. You will build services and tools that reduce friction for 20,000+ engineers, leveraging AI-powered tooling and scalable AWS solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience with modern languages (Java, C++, or C#) and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize high-impact problems that impede AWS software development.
• Decompose complex builder problems into simple, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with AWSBA, ASBX and AWS builder teams to build and operate the designed solutions.
• Deliver meaningful improvements weekly while working toward long-term transformation.
