Job summary

Amazon in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Software Engineer for the Same Day Delivery Experience team to help redefine fast delivery. You will design, build, and scale AI-powered tools leveraging LLMs, RAG, and NLP to improve customer experience across shopping, buying, and post-purchase stages.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to prototype agentic AI capabilities, optimize retrieval pipelines, and ensure scalable, reliable services for the Same Day Delivery network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture of scalable systems.
• Experience programming with at least one language.
• 3+ years SDLC experience; code reviews, version control, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered tools using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, prompts, and orchestration.
• Develop and optimize retrieval pipelines and context-augmented generation systems.
