Job summary

Amazon is hiring an SDE for Insights & Optimization to design and deliver systems that turn cloud cost complexity into clarity. You will build high-scale data pipelines, intelligent optimization engines, and intuitive experiences to help AWS customers spend less and do more.

The position involves delivering innovative software designs, creating design and deployment plans, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive operational improvements and velocity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.
• AI fluency – leveraging agentic AI in daily software development.
• AI fluency/Agentic AI – spec driven development.

Responsibilities

• Innovating and delivering creative SW designs to develop new services, solve operational problems, improve developer velocity, or positively impact operational safety.
• Writing requirements capturing documents, design documents, integration test plans, and deployment plans.
• Communicating status and progress of deliverables to schedule, and sharing learnings/innovations with team and stakeholders.
• Building and leveraging multi-agent semi- or fully autonomous spec-driven software development pipelines.
