Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Chief Software Integration Engineer for the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) program in El Segundo, CA. You will lead software integration efforts, work directly with Government Program Managers, and guide acquisition strategies to deliver reliable, modern capabilities for the warfighter.

Expect to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, influence decisions, and manage risk reduction projects while ensuring long-term sustainment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or equivalent is required.
15+ years of experience in software integration, software acquisition, agile, network engineering, or cloud technologies.
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required, with ability to obtain SAP clearances.
Willingness to travel domestically (~20% of work time).
Experience delivering software solutions to the enterprise and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Act as the SDA Chief Software Integration Engineer, collaborating with Government Program Managers and other stakeholders.
Understand legacy software and sensor capabilities and guide acquisition strategy.
Lead risk reduction R&D and ensure long-term sustainment of implementations.
Drive prioritization across diverse interests to achieve general agreement and delivery of capabilities.
Influence key stakeholders to advance proposed capabilities.
