Fort Worth Zoo is seeking a keeper to care for animals across aquatic and terrestrial displays. Responsibilities include maintaining enclosures, feeding animals, and assisting veterinary staff as needed.

The role requires adherence to safety and diving procedures and regular documentation of observations. The position demands 18+ years old with at least one year zoo keeping experience, scuba certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have one year of zoo keeping experience.
• Scuba certified for Aquarist position.
• Valid driver license with acceptable motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain animal enclosures and living environments according to protocols.
• Clean and maintain animal housing, equipment and related areas.
• Monitor health and behavior, communicate observations to supervisor.
• Follow safety and diving procedures and document activities in TRACKS and Dive Log.
• Assist veterinary staff as needed and participate in daily care and feeding.
