Job summary

NS2 Mission in the Northern VA area seeks an Expert Scrum Master to support mission-critical software development for the Intelligence Community. You will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and coach teams toward high-quality delivery.

As a servant leader, you will partner with Product Owners, Technical Program Managers, Release Managers, and engineers to manage backlogs and track progress while promoting continuous improvement across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience serving as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain, prioritize, and refine product backlogs.
• Remove obstacles and resolve impediments that impact team productivity and sprint goals.
• Monitor sprint progress and communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Release Managers, and engineering teams to support project planning and delivery.
• Promote Agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Track team metrics and help improve sprint predictability and delivery performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure alignment across technical teams.
• Support release planning and assist with maintaining project roadmaps and schedules.
• Encourage collaboration, transparency, and accountability across the development team.

NS2 Mission is seeking an Expert Scrum Master to support mission-critical software development efforts within the Intelligence Community. In this role, you will facilitate Agile ceremonies, foster collaboration across cross-functional teams, and help ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate is a servant leader who is passionate about Agile methodologies and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will support our team in the Northern VA area. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience serving as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams through Scrum processes.
• Ability to identify and remove project impediments while managing competing priorities.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or similar Agile certification.
• Experience supporting Intelligence Community or DoD programs.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools.
• Understanding of software development, systems engineering, or DevSecOps environments.
• Experience supporting multiple Agile teams in a scaled Agile environment.

Salary and Benefits Information

The salary range for this position is $131,999.00 to $189,455.00. The proposed range is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, location, and contractual considerations and may fall outside of the stated range.
