Job summary

ADM is seeking a Scrum Master in Erlanger, KY to lead Agile ceremonies, coach multiple teams, and partner with Product Managers to improve backlog quality and delivery flow.

You will drive continuous improvement through metrics, ensure quality and transparency, and collaborate with DevSecOps practices to embed testing into the workflow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) is required.
  • ICP-ACC coaching credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate iteration planning, daily syncs, reviews/demos, and retrospectives with clear inputs and documented decisions.
  • Coach 1–2 product teams on Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid) to improve flow and predictability.
  • Partner with Product Managers/Owners to improve backlog quality, prioritization, and acceptance criteria; ensure ready work and demo-ready increments.
  • Audit Azure DevOps boards/backlog for Definition of Ready/Done, acceptance criteria, and status hygiene; coach teams to sustain quality and transparency.
  • Use actionable metrics (Flow Time, WIP, predictability) to diagnose bottlenecks and drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities


Scrum Events & Facilitation


  • Facilitate iteration planning, daily team syncs, iteration reviews/demos, and retrospectives so they are purposeful, timeboxed, and outcome-oriented; ensure prep materials (backlog, capacity, acceptance criteria) are ready and decisions/actions are captured.



Team Coaching & Enablement


  • Coach 1-2 product teams on Agile mindset and practices (Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid) with an emphasis on flow, predictability, and quality; grow teams from learning to self-sustaining maturity.

  • Facilitate and observe events and day-to-day work to provide targeted coaching (teach, coach, mentor, or step back) that builds confidence and capability over time.



Product Ways of Working


  • Partner with Product Managers/Owners to improve backlog quality, prioritization, and acceptance criteria, ensuring a steady flow of ready work and demo-worthy increments.

  • Audit Azure DevOps boards/backlog for Definition of Ready/Done compliance, acceptance criteria completeness, and status hygiene; coach PO/Team to sustain quality and transparency.

  • Partner with Quality Engineers to integrate testing into flow, agree quality signals, and review defects in retrospectives to prevent recurrence.



Flow, Metrics & Continuous Improvement


  • Use actionable metrics (e.g., Flow Time, WIP, predictability, quality signals) to diagnose bottlenecks and guide iterative improvements; make data visible and useful.

  • Maintain and socialize team dashboards (burnup, CFD, predictability, quality) and publish iteration summaries to stakeholders; translate insights into targeted improvement actions owned by the team.



Impediments & RAIDs


  • Continuously surface and remove impediments; maintain visible RAIDs; elevate cross-team blockers and partner with the appropriate stakeholders for timely resolution.



Program & System Level Contribution


  • Represent the team in Syncs/Scrum-of-Scrums; prepare teams for System Demos; support Inspect & Adapt by consolidating improvement items and tracking ownership to closure.



Qualifications


Education & Certifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Required: Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM).

  • Preferred: Coaching credentials (ICP-ACC).



Experience & Skills


  • 3-7+ years in a Scrum Master/Team Coach role coaching multiple teams in a scaled agile environment.

  • Strong ability to improve team flow and predictability using metrics.

  • Expert facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, automation, and CI/CD.

  • Effective collaboration with Product roles to translate strategy into execution.



Additional Information


  • Flexibility in work hours to support global cadences and planning events.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • Role typically supports 1-2 teams depending on maturity and complexity.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.



If hired, employees will be in an \"at-will position\" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.



The pay range for this position is expected to be between:


$71,100.00 - $133,300.00
