Basic Qualifications

• HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
• Experienced Scrum Master with in-depth knowledge of delivering projects/tasks to the Customer.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• ServiceNow and/or JIRA Ticketing systems experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong Leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• AWS certifications.
• Experience with creating dashboards and/or metrics with Jira/Confluence.

Role Overview

Peraton is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program, focusing on Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for biometric IT systems. The individual will facilitate process standardization of all Scrum events, supporting a fast-paced environment and delivering results through leadership and collaboration.

This is a 100% remote role.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead the O&M effort by conveying the agile vision to a Kanban team.
• Prioritize work based on program initiatives and business value.
• Coordinate and monitor the Scrum process from initiation through delivery.
• Educate the team on best practices and tools.
• Act as liaison between product owner, O&M team, cross-functional teams, and management.
• Standardize all Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Maintain product backlog, remove impediments, resolve conflicts, and improve processes.
• Respond rapidly to changes with flexibility.
• Share knowledge and best practices with other Scrum Masters in the program.
