Job summary
Russell Tobin is seeking a Scrum Master in Minneapolis, MN for a 5-month contract with potential extension. The role demands an Agile Champion to coach teams, facilitate events, and drive OKRs in a hybrid work environment.
Pay is $60-64 per hour on W2, DOE, with strong emphasis on collaboration across Product, Tech, UX and other disciplines. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and 5+ years in Agile delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Five or more years of experience in Agile technology delivery.
- Five or more years of experience in Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) teams.
- Knowledge of Agile values, principles, and Scaled Agile frameworks.
- Experience with agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Dragonboat, MURAL.
- CSM certification or similar certification a plus.
- Ability to influence others, implement change, and standardize processes in a complex business environment.
- Mentoring and growing the potential of others.
- Positive attitude and ability to inspire the team toward continuous improvement.
- Experience with OKRs and outcomes-based planning.
- Ability to partner with Product, Tech, UX and other disciplines.
- Product Discovery tactics experience.
- Big room / quarterly product planning experience.
- Iterative and incremental development fundamentals.
- Delivering solutions under aggressive schedules.
- Ability to work in ambiguity and iterate to a solution.

- Facilitate team events: planning, backlog refinement, estimation, release, sprint, standups, retrospectives.
- Draft and track OKRs and drive continuous improvement.
- Coach teams and leaders in agile roles and frameworks.
- Foster a high-performing, continuous improvement culture.
- Track metrics to measure agile adoption and maturity of teams.
- Guide product management on MVPs, roadmaps, release plans, and backlog prioritization.
- Mentor Agilists and participate in communities of practice for growth.
