Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Scrum Master/Project Manager to support infrastructure and security initiatives across the organization. The role partners with Program Managers, Infrastructure and Security teams, and executive stakeholders to ensure projects are planned, executed, and delivered from inception through completion.

The ideal candidate will foster accountability and transparency, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and coach teams in Agile best practices while applying Waterfall

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or blended role.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, Scrum practices, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience leading infrastructure, technology, or cybersecurity initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Certifications such as Scrum Master, Agile, or PMP preferred.

Scrum Master / Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with experience in both Agile and traditional Project Management methodologies to support infrastructure and security initiatives across the organization. This individual will serve as a key partner to Program Managers, Infrastructure teams, Security teams, and executive stakeholders, ensuring projects are effectively planned, executed, and delivered from inception through completion.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, team-first leader who excels at driving alignment across cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. This person will facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams on Agile best practices, and support project delivery using both Scrum and Waterfall methodologies depending on the needs of the initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Partner closely with Program Managers, Infrastructure teams, and Security teams to drive successful project execution.
• Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, Scrum frameworks, and project management best practices.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, priorities, and deliverables.
• Support projects utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies based on organizational and project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives and Information Services leadership.
• Promote a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or a blended Scrum Master/Project Manager role.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, Scrum practices, and traditional Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Experience leading infrastructure, technology, or cybersecurity-related initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional technical teams.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Scrum Master, Agile, PMP, or related certifications preferred.

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Annapolis, MD and 2 days remote.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Annapolis, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
