Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a full-time Warehouse Custodian in Windsor, CT to maintain clean Distribution Center floors and support general warehouse operations. Responsibilities include sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waste disposal, and basic repairs to cleaning equipment, with an emphasis on safety and cleanliness.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic cleaning product knowledge, and prior custodial or similar experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, and mop warehouse floors using power sweeper and scrubber.

• Picks-up and empty trash receptacles and picks-up cardboard, plastic, and baled items in order to reduce waste volume and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Cleans up various types of spills and disposes of waste while adhering to Company procedures for proper disposal of said items.
• Assist maintenance team as required.
• Perform general warehouse duties including loading and unloading trailers.

• Perform basic repairs to the sweeper scrubber truck.
• Picks-up and empty trash receptacles and picks-up cardboard, plastic, and baled items in order to reduce waste volume and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Cleans up various types of spills and disposes of waste while adhering to Company procedures for proper disposal of said items. Cleans up toxic spills according to federal, state and local regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist maintenance team as required.
• Perform general warehouse duties including loading and unloading trailers.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical education preferred. Previous mechanical experience preferred. Previous custodial experience preferred. General knowledge of basic cleaning products required.
