Job summary

Ambulatory Surgery Center of Utah is seeking a motivated Scrub Tech to join our surgical team. You will maintain a sterile field, assist surgeons and nurses, and help ensure safe, high‑quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technology program and CST/CORT certification is preferred. Experience in a surgical setting and BLS certification are beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a post-high school Surgical Technology program.
  • CST or CORT certification preferred.
  • One year of experience in a surgical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a sterile field and uphold aseptic technique.
  • Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, supplies, sutures, and equipment.
  • Prepare equipment, instruments, and operating rooms before procedures.
  • Assist with scrubbing, gowning, and gloving for the surgical team.
  • Prepare dressings and assist with postoperative bandage application.
  • Operate, adjust, and monitor surgical and sterile processing equipment.
  • Position and prepare patients for surgery while ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Document accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Respond quickly to changing patient or surgical needs.
