Qualifications

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technician.

Responsibilities

• The scrub technician performs scrub duties throughout the surgical procedure under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• The scrub tech assists the RN in maintaining the surgeon’s preferences for listed surgical procedures of the specialty assigned.
• Remain current with all the new procedures and assist other team members with instrumentation and equipment associated specifically with the specialty.
• The collaborative efforts of both the RN and Scrub tech are the key to patient care excellence and physician satisfaction.
