Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Scrub Technician to join the surgical team. The scrub tech performs scrub duties throughout procedures and works under the direction of the Registered Nurse to support the surgeon's preferences.

You will assist with instrumentation and equipment, stay current with new procedures, and collaborate with the RN and team to ensure patient care excellence. A commitment to safety and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of surgical technician training courses.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technician.

Physical Requirements

This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.

• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
