Maine Eye Center in Portland, ME is seeking a Surgical Technologist/Scrub Technician for our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role supports the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and RN in the OR with a focus on ocular surgery and aseptic technique.

We offer a 4-day workweek, typically Monday–Thursday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with competitive pay and opportunities for professional growth within a top US eye care team.

Qualifications

• Preparation of the Operating Room; opening sterile supplies, instruments, packs, assuring sterile technique is maintained
• During the surgical procedure, the scrub will anticipate the needs of the surgeon and assist as directed
• Maintain preference card accuracy; participate in in-services and follow MEC protocols

This position generally works Monday–Thursday, 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., giving you a consistent schedule and three-day weekends while building your career in healthcare.Description of Responsibilities:As a member of the surgical team, the Surgical Scrub Technician works collaboratively with the Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, and the RN in the operating room ensuring safe quality patient care.
