## Scrub TechnicianApply: Great Bend, KS: Part time: Posted Today: R-57583# Position TitleScrub TechnicianGreat Bend Hospital## Position Summary / Career Interest:The Surgical Technologist - GB, under the direction of the Registered Nurse and the Nurse Manager, handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she understands the surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the surgical procedure and is maintains constant vigilance of the sterile field.**Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions*** Following department standards maintains asepsis, positioning, prepping and draping, needle and instrument count, specimen care and dressing application.* Prepares instruments and supplies for sterilization; cleans and decontaminates instruments; assists in cleaning/preparing OR suite for next case.* Provides appropriate instrumentation to surgeon.* Identifies changes in condition and reports to RN/Charge Nurse.* Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.* These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
