PRN position

Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND seeks a Surgery Clinic Scrub Tech, First Assistant, for PRN coverage to support operating room teams in daily life-saving procedures.

You will coordinate with physicians, anesthesia, nurses, and staff to ensure sterile environments and patient safety; you will anticipate needs, manage instruments, and participate in time-out processes in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be registered on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Persons (UAP) Registry prior to start date.
• Must be a CST or gain CST within 90 days of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 480 hours of employment and recertification as required.
• No previous experience required, other than clinical lab with schooling.
• Ability to organize assignments and work under pressure.

• Set up, maintain, and monitor sterile fields with the highest standards.
• Anticipate surgeon's needs and pass instruments efficiently.
• Collaborate with RNs on counts and ensure medication safety.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Surgery Clinic Scrub Tech, First Assistant, you will play a critical role in patient care, work alongside top surgeons, and participate in life-saving procedures daily.

Everyday you will communicate and provide assistance to physicians, patients, anesthesia, staff, family members, and visitors to ensure highest standards are met within the Operating room.

To be successful in this role you must anticipate needs, colloboate with the surgical team, monitor sterile fields and set the OR up for success.

Job Requirements

Pay Range

$31.53 - $46.90/hour
