A leading healthcare company is seeking a Scribe Trainer to coordinate training and ongoing support for scribes. The position requires at least two years of college coursework and six months of experience as a scribe. You will be responsible for training new scribes and assisting in quality assurance at various sites, ensuring effective communication and documentation in a medical environment. Flexible scheduling may be required, and the work environment will include travel to different sites.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Two years college level course work in applicable course of study i.e. (biololgy, chemistry, physics).
EXPERIENCE:
1. Six months experience as a scribe.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Bachelor's degree in health science related field.
EXPERIENCE:
1. At least one year of scribe experience.
2. One year of previous leadership experience.

1. Travel to various sites to help implement a new program.
2. Establish relationships with hospital staff and scribes.
3. Active participation in peer interviewing as necessary.
4. Conduct a complete and thorough classroom training to include evaluations on scribe competencies.
5. Conduct floor training with scribes, providing constructive feedback as needed.
6. Complete scribe evaluations in a professional and timely matter.
7. Keep accurate records of scribe training progress.
8. Assist management with selection of lead scribe.
9. In coordination with leadership, complete employee warnings, when necessary.
10. Ongoing support of the lead scribe.
11. Ability to assist lead scribes at multiple sites with quality assurance.
12. Hold training meetings as necessary.
13. Assist the lead scribe with last minute shift coverage.
14. Identify areas of deficiency and create continuing education material as applicable.
15. Assist with training new physicians on the most efficient use of a scribe.
16. Create scribe training material for new scribes, including competency exams.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of: Emergency Department flow, efficiency management medical-legal documentation, medical terminology, physical exam findings and Evaluation and Management (E&M) bill basics.
2. Qualities: Organization, professionalism, ability to take the initiative, courtesy positive attitude, strong communicationskills, active listening skills and attentiveness to detail.
3. Must have a quick and accurate typing speed (55 WPM)
Additional Job Description:
This is a remote position supporting the training of the Scribe Services Department. Applicants must be available from 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday, but occasional flexible scheduling is required.
