Job description

**Position Overview:** Threads pipe as needed for compressor units.**Responsibilities/Job Duties:*** Installs threaded piping to Engineering specifications* Cut and thread pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threaders* Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible* Adhere to company policy, procedures, and rules* Adhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate protective gear* Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude* Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements* Need minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job* Perform various other duties as assigned## Qualifications* Ability to read isometric pipe drawings* Familiarity with manufacturing/fabrication processes* Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment* Ability to read and use a tape measure in US units (not metric)* Ability to read and use a level* Ability to use hand tools and power tools* Welding knowledge such as GMAW/MIG hard-wire* High School Diploma or equivalent* Competency test: Cut and thread a piece of pipe. Use it to build a small piping assembly from a drawing.**Physical Requirements:*** Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use ladder for long periods of time daily* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds* Vision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately read all related distribution documents**Working Conditions*** Subject to outdoor and plant environment with adjusting temperatures and climate**Upon Employment:*** Complete a Safety overview from the EHS & Facilities Manager* Complete a Quality overview from the Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Manager
