Job Description

Set up, adjust, and operate multiple spindle automatic screw machines for a wide variety of parts, involving techniques such as setting attachments, turning, threading, drilling, recessing, boring, thread rolling, forming, shaving, reaming, etc.

1. Set up, adjust, and operate multiple spindle automatic screw machines on various parts, using techniques such as setting attachments, turning, threading, drilling, recessing, boring, thread rolling, forming, shaving, reaming, etc.
2. Work from blueprints, operation sheets, or specifications to select cutting tools, gears, and cams.
3. Check own setup using precision measuring instruments.
4. Make necessary adjustments to produce parts within close tolerances, especially when finish requirements are strict.
5. Inspect parts using precision instruments, maintain tool and machine adjustments, and sharpen or reset tools as needed.
6. Be accountable for process evaluation, measurement, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in setting up and operating multiple spindle screw machines.
• Proficient in using Statistical Process Control to maintain quality standards.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Basic computer skills.
