Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago, IL seeks a Conflicts & New Business Analyst (CNBA) to support the Screens Team and CNBSM. Responsibilities include drafting screening memos, configuring electronic walls in Intapp Walls, and compiling background reports to resolve screening issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; ability to write and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant research or analytical experience in a legal, professional services or academic setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting ethical and lateral screening memos for review.
• Review Outside Counsel Guidelines, Engagement Letters, and client waivers for screening requirements.
• Ensure documentation saved to electronic screens in Intapp Walls; assist in building walls.
• Compile background report data for screen resolution issues; extract required files.
• Analyze and interpret data to support problem-solving and resolve timekeeper-related issues.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records in line with team standards.
• Collaborate with Conflicts Staff Attorneys and CNBSM to resolve access issues.
• Support CNBSM by auditing Firm ethical screens and providing quality control.
• Communicate with requestors for additional information as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and administrative support to Firm requestors and Screens Team.
• Exercise sound judgment to escalate issues for senior review.
• Identify and resolve matter data discrepancies; ensure records reflect scope of work.
