J. Alexander's Restaurant in Nashville is seeking a Prep Cook to join our scratch kitchen.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, follow recipes, maintain sanitation, and coordinate with teammates to ensure quality and consistent presentation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment.
• Previous kitchen / culinary / chef experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, and ovens required.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a professional, fast-paced scratch kitchen and ensure proper execution of recipes while maintaining a clean station.
• Assist with opening duties and closing cleaning tasks.
• Coordinate with teammates and management to ensure accurate food presentation and timely service.
• Follow sanitation protocols and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
