Steel-Dynamic is seeking a reliable Class A CDL Truck Driver to transport scrap metal safely and efficiently. You will coordinate with dispatch, perform thorough vehicle inspections, and ensure accurate logs while upholding DOT regulations.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, punctual deliveries, and meticulous paperwork, with growth opportunities in a safety-forward environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL Class A.
• Must pass a Federal DOT Drug Screen.
• 2 years of verifiable tractor/trailer experience; or 1 year with graduation certificate from an accredited tractor/trailer driving school.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English; communicate with law enforcement and company personnel.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations and maintain logs.

Responsabilités

• Hook and unhook trailers from tractor.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and note defects.
• Verify shipping paperwork accuracy.
• Drive in compliance with Federal/State regulations and company policies.
• Maintain logs, fuel records, mileage, and other required documents.
• Operate truck safely in various conditions and locations.
• Report accidents and safety hazards promptly.
