Fort Wayne Community Schools seeks a Building Instructional Coach to provide job-embedded differentiated professional learning to teachers across elementary, middle, and high schools. The coach will support instructional design and data-informed practices to raise student achievement.

The role requires Indiana teaching licensure with appropriate endorsements and knowledge of effective lesson planning, collaboration, and curriculum development. School-year schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas.
• REPA/REPA 3 licensure options available for eligibility.
• Knowledge of effective practices including lesson plan development and instructional design.

PURPOSE

Provide job-embedded differentiated professional learning to ensure teachers continuously improve their ability to provide instructional services to students resulting in increased student achievement.

Minimum Qualifications

Must possess a valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas.

REPA/REPA 3 Licensure Options:

• Any valid Indiana Teaching license with content endorsement(s) covering grades K-6

Must possess knowledge of effective practices including principles theories procedures and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction. Student performance data in the teacher's classroom must show a positive trend of growth on the Indiana College and Career Standards. Demonstrated leadership on their Quality Improvement Team (QIT) and at the school in developing school-based curriculum (SCIP's Assessments of and for Learning and Instructional Design). Have skillfully facilitated teams through curriculum processes or problem solving effectively.
