The Evaluation Systems group of Pearson offers dynamic teacher licensing and performance assessment solutions. Our custom teacher licensure testing programs are 100 percent aligned to state standards. We also provide a wide variety of teacher licensure testing services such as test development, administration, and scoring. We work in a collaborative environment and are passionate about education.

Scorers have a direct impact on the quality of the next generation of teachers and help to maintain professional standards. We have immediate openings for candidates to score School Administrator and Superintendent exams.

Qualifications

Both active and recently retired educators may be eligible to score, provided they meet one of the following qualification goals:

  • A School Administrator/Superintendent scorer must:
  • Have an administrator certificate in the specified field, AND
  • Current or recent experience as an administrator in public schools, OR
  • Current or recent teacher education faculty specializing in the specified field, OR
  • Certification in the specified field, AND
  • Current or recent experience in public schools, OR
  • Current or recent education faculty specializing in the specified field.
Key Benefits
  • Rate of $17.50/hour.
  • Encouragement for recently retired and current educators from Arizona, California, and Oklahoma to apply.
  • Work scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm PST.
  • Most sessions are 2-3 days long and offered monthly.
  • Training and review included in every session.
  • Flexible scheduling to suit your availability.
Overall Responsibilities
  • Evaluate responses of teacher candidates seeking their Administrative Services Credential.
  • Internalize training and scoring guides.
  • Participate in discussions.
  • Apply scoring guides according to rubric requirements, setting aside personal biases.
  • Meet quality and productivity standards.
  • Engage in consensus scoring activities with other scorers.
Additional Requirements
  • Residency in Arizona, California, or Oklahoma with eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).
  • Ability to participate in online meetings with a personal computer, webcam, microphone, and speakers.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Maintain a confidential work environment.
