The City of Tucson’s Parks and Recreation Department seeks a part-time Sports Recreation Worker to support adult softball and volleyball by serving as a scorekeeper and assisting with game-day operations.
Under supervision of the Sports Recreation Coordinator, the role involves maintaining scores, setting up equipment, communicating schedule changes, and documenting incidents during league play. Evening and weekend hours are common, with outdoor duties and travel to league locations as assigned.

Individuals in this classification may not exceed 1,300 hours in a 12-month period. The typical number of hours for this position will not exceed 24 hours/week.
The Sports Recreation Worker in the City of Tucson's Parks and Recreation Department supports adult sports leagues, primarily adult softball, by serving as a scorekeeper and assisting with game-day operations.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Sports Recreation Coordinator. This position does not supervise.
The position works outdoors or requires moderate to intermediate physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods in warm or hot temperature conditions.
This position requires flexibility to work a variety of schedules throughout the season, including evenings, weekends, and occasional hours outside of standard business hours. All duties and responsibilities listed are subject to change.
