The Ash Group is hiring a Construction Scoping Engineer - Wireless (24546) for our client, a world-renowned telecommunications company providing the technology and equipment that enables global mobile connectivity and 4G/5G networks This is a 12-month contract position working in Plano, TX (Hybrid). We are offering a pay rate up to $76 per hour W2 based on skill set.

Scoping Construction Engineer responsible for identifying technical aspects of telecommunications equipment deployments, creating scope of work (SOW) and bill of materials (BOM), ensuring site constructability, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document comprehensive per‑site SOW and BOM, including all work types and drivers.
- Review construction drawings, RFDS, and mount/structural designs for constructability and accuracy.
- Identify and propose site constructability changes to meet RF design requirements.
- Create day‑by‑day build/outage plans and align with stakeholders.
- Plan and adjust schedules, collaborating with project managers and service providers on scope changes.
- Review supplier quotes for accuracy and approve or reject as needed.
- Identify and document rigging and crane requirements for site work.
- Participate in project planning meetings, providing guidance and resolving issues.
- Prepare status reports, analyses, and presentations on progress and problem resolution.
- Drive stakeholder deliverables necessary for scoping, services, and BOM preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent
- Must have 2‑5 years of wireless experience with TMO background.
- Experience managing and delivering cell site construction and technology upgrades.
- Experience providing site design solutions and guiding order of operations.
- Ability to review construction documents and determine site feasibility.
- Direct knowledge of construction processes, safety, equipment installation, structural design, and rigging/crane requirements.
- Experience in construction scope estimation, managing contractors, and generating bills of materials.
- Knowledge of and ability to enforce quality standards.
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting, sweep testing, and contract types (leasing, vendor‑and customer‑facing).
- Ability to solve problems effectively, on time and within budget.
- Strong ability to learn quickly and multitask in a fast‑paced environment across business units and customers.
- Strong communication and consultative skills across multiple professional levels.
- Completion of OSHA 10‑hour course for telecommunications industry (OSHA 30‑hour if managing crews).
