Job summary

Ryerson Holding Corporation is seeking a Service Center Operator C (SCOC) in Newark, DE. You will stage, pack, and pick material for shipments and support SAP-based shipping/receiving processes in a safety-conscious, fast-paced environment.

Selected candidates will enroll in a registered apprenticeship during onboarding, with at least 1 year of related experience preferred, basic math and computer skills required, and the ability to learn SAP work orders on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 1 year of similar job experience preferred.
• Basic math and basic computer skills required.
• Able to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Onboarding includes enrollment in an apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Pick and stage feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Break down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders.
• Package material to customer requirements.
• Operate a sit-down or side loader forklift as needed.
• Complete paperwork and SAP work orders for shipping/receiving.
