Panasonic North America is seeking an SCM Planner to build and manage a global procurement model for Panasonic factories, providing value-added support and account management from orders to vendors to ensure procurement SCM and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, inventory and logistics oversight, and developing global procurement schemes using SQL, Python, and BI tools, with occasional travel and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years global procurement or data management experience.
• BA/BS in International Business or Computer Science preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel; Power BI or Tableau a plus.
• Experience with SQL, Python or coding languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage global procurement model for Panasonic factories with value-added support & account management across receiving new orders, vendors and all parties involved to ensure procurement SCM & customer satisfaction.
• Monitor inventory and delivery; track PO status and negotiate with suppliers and customers; coordinate with warehouses and logistics partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve and expand the global procurement scheme through purchase and supply of raw materials, components and devices.
• Maintain master data (customer, vendor, product) including price, lead times, and delivery terms; ensure timely AR collections.
• SQL database maintenance for supply chain operation with supervisor; analyze logistics data to improve operations.

What You’ll Get To Do:

To build and manage global procurement model for Panasonic factories with value added support & account management from receiving new orders, working with vendors & all parties involved to ensure procurement SCM & customer satisfaction.

Procurement Operation Management

• Assess customer needs and provide value added service to consolidate procurement functions of Panasonic factories to maximize efficiency
• Monitor inventory and delivery, checking inventory and balance purchase order status, negotiating with suppliers and customers and cooperating with business associate warehouse, logistics companies
• Monitor logistics cost and business process cost referring to business rule.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers, freight & warehouse companies.

Solution Development

• Identify opportunities to improve, develop and expand the global procurement scheme through purchase and supply of raw materials, components and devices.
• Communicate with business associates customers, suppliers, logistics service providers smoothly with problem solving mind.

Data Management / Admin

• Maintain the computer system master data (customer, vendor & product) including price, minimum order quantity, delivery lead time, etc.
• Ensure timely collection of account receivables from customers
• SQL database maintenance for Supply chain operation support with supervisor
• Collect or Analyze logistics data and information to improve operation with supervisor

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience:

• Prefer 3-5 years or more global procurement experience or Data management experience
• BA\BS in International Business / Computer Science preferred
• Must be proficient with MS Office suite, particularly with Excel
• Power BI or Tableau skill is a plus but is not required
• Experience with SQL, Python, or any coding skills preferred

Communications:

• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English Listening, speaking, writing and reading. Communication skill in Japanese, Japanese are considered a plus for evaluation but are not required.

The wage range of$35 - $37 an hour is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
