Job description

PROLIM (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking Scintillator Detector Assembly Technician forone of our top client in Batavia, IL

Description:

Under the direction of the PPD and ETD staff, the work is expected to consist of the following:

• Assist in facility setup
• Prepare prototypes and develop final assembly procedures
• Prepare scintillator samples for light yield measurement.
• Measure samples using existing system and record data in excel.
• Assist in detector production
• Support operation of the extrusion line.
• Assist in both the running of the extrusion line and QC of the resultant parts.

Qualifications:

We are interested in technicians who have at least 3-years’ experience with radiation detectors, including plastic scintillator detectors. Experience in the following desirable:

• Extruded scintillator or fiber scintillator detectors.
• Radiation detector assembly and test.
• Radiation detector readout and test
• Radiation detector system mechanical design and assembly Expected deliverables:
• Report to the PI of END on activities and results from tests, measurements, and assembly.
