Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks an Associate Special Security Officer (ASSO) to support personnel security operations in an SCIF environment. The ASSO will work within the Special Security Office to administer SCI access, indoctrinations, debriefings, and related tasks for employees, subcontractors, visitors, and mission partners.

The role requires a TS clearance with access to Q/SCI and the ability to manage sensitive information while ensuring compliance with IC/DOE policies.

Qualifications

• BS degree in security management, criminal justice, business administration, intelligence studies, or a related field with 2–4 years of experience.
• Experience handling sensitive personnel information and maintaining security-related records.
• Ability to work in SCIF/classified environment with restricted devices and remote-work capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day personnel security and SCI access administration within the Special Security Office.
• Process and coordinate requests for SCI access, indoctrinations, debriefings, and access changes.
• Maintain accurate personnel security records and rosters.
• Coordinate clearance and SCI verification actions with government agencies and security offices.
• Assist with SCI indoctrinations, briefings, debriefings, and NDA processing.
