Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician to support SCIF and SAP construction efforts. The role involves day-to-day security, threat identification, and incident reporting to government and senior leaders.

You will manage escort personnel, enforce SOPs, and conduct inspections of materials for secure spaces. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with certifications like SFPC/SPSC/SPED boosting experience eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree desired; counts towards 4 years of experience.
• Associates degree counts towards 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify and communicate recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
• Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
• Draft security incident reports and brief government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
• Manage uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assign, train, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
• Follow and enforce customers’ SOP.
• Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
• Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
• Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
