Job summary

Cyprotex US, an Evotec company, is seeking a Scientist to perform routine screening of compounds in in vitro ADME assays and to maintain mammalian cells. The role includes training in high throughput screening, LC‑MS/MS, and data processing to high quality standards.

You will collaborate with Senior Scientists and Laboratory Supervisors, manage time effectively, and ensure safety and quality procedures are followed throughout experiments.

Qualifications

• BA/MS or equivalent in Biological or Chemical sciences with 5+ years in industry (pharma/CRO).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to troubleshoot and multitask under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct high and low throughput in vitro ADME assays.
• Maintain mammalian cell cultures and prepare samples for analysis.
• Support validation and investigative assays as needed.
• Manage stock consumables and lab equipment maintenance.
• Provide guidance to Senior Scientist and Laboratory Supervisors.
• Follow safety regulations and quality control procedures.
• Report issues and discuss scientific strategy with supervisors.

What You’ll Do:

We are seeking a Scientist to be responsible for routine screening of compounds in various in vitro ADME assays and maintaining mammalian cells. Training opportunities will be provided for high throughput screening, cell culture and LC-MS/MS.

• Responsible for planning and conducting high and low throughput in vitro ADME assays, processing data to a high quality of standards, and within specified time frames.
• Assist the Scientist with validation and investigative assays.
• Monitor and maintain stock consumables where required.
• Assist with the validation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Provide support to the Senior Scientist, Laboratory Supervisors and Senior Research Scientist when trouble shooting.
• Identify, within their group, where support is required and manages their own time sufficiently to provide this support.
• Follow safety regulations and quality control procedures.
• Report any issues of concern and discuss/advise scientific strategy with the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Senior Research Scientist.

Who You Are:

• BA/MS or equivalent experience in a relevant Biological or Chemical scientific discipline with at least 5 years plus experiences working within industry (pharma or CRO).
• Effective communication and organizational skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and multitask under pressure of deadlines are important.

Desirable

• Plate based screening.
• Cell culture experience.
• LC-MS/MS experience.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $66,375 to $90,325. This is a salaried exempt position. Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
