Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist Biology in the United States to advance analytics for biotherapeutics, including antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) and monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). This role reports to the Research & Development division and leverages advanced science to impact drug safety, efficacy, and global health.

You will perform routine testing, support process development activities, and compile data for presentations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 4+ years
  • Experience with analytical techniques (UPLC, CGE, icIEF)
  • Strong independent problem-solving and documentation skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork
  • Proficiency in MS Office and scientific software
  • Hands-on lab experience
  • Background in experimental design and result interpretation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support analytical testing for ADCs and mAbs in process development
  • Follow procedures with general instructions and work under moderate supervision

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will support Pfizer’s biotherapeutics portfolio, contributing to support of analytical testing to support process development of antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) and monoclonal antibodies (mAbs).

How You Will Achieve It

In this role, you will:

Qualifications
Must-Have
  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience
  • Experience with analytical techniques (UPLC, CGE, icIEF)
  • Strong independent problem-solving and documentation skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork
  • Proficiency in using scientific software and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands‑on lab experience
  • Strong background in experimental design and result interpretation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using personal computers for word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and scientific software
Nice-to-Have
  • Prior experience with in-process analytical support for ADC or mAbs
  • Experience with techniques such as SE-UPLC, icIEF, CGE, Mass Spectrometry
  • Familiarity with liquid handling robotics systems (Tecan, Hamilton)
  • Experience with mass spectrometry software (Byosphere, Byos, Xcalibur)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Digital skills and coding knowledge (Python, C#)
  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance workflows

Work Location Assignment:On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $79,400.00 to $132,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
