Responsibilities

  • Execute routine qualitative and quantitative lab procedures following safety and GLP.
  • Use, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometers and UPLC systems.
  • Tune equipment, optimize compounds, and integrate LC-MS/MS peaks.
  • Prepare data for Watson LIMS upload and analyze per SOPs.
  • Troubleshoot data anomalies using scientific judgment.
  • Prepare experiments and samples and document procedures to customer specs.
  • Analyze and report results; communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders

Job Summary

The Scientist, Lab Operations is responsible for accurately executing laboratory experiments and contributing to the design of scientific procedures. This role supports scientific discovery and Good Laboratory Practices for the customer through laboratory testing, equipment operation, data analysis, and timely reporting.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform routine qualitative and quantitative laboratory procedures under minimal supervision while following all safety protocols and Good Laboratory Practices Use, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometers and Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography systems
  • Conduct equipment tuning, compound optimization, and integration of chromatographic peaks generated by LC-MS/MS
  • Prepare data for upload to Watson LIMS and analyze data according to standard operating procedures
  • Apply good scientific judgment and proactively initiate troubleshooting experiments in response to data anomalies
  • Prepare experiments and samples for analysis and accurately document procedures according to customer requirements
  • Analyze and report results in a timely manner to support scientific meetings and project outcomes
  • Communicate findings with cross-functional stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
